Communications
Volunteer
IWJ is looking to strengthen our outreach
to the media by working with religious clergy
around the country to place op-ed pieces in
publications and write statements from various
faith traditions on economic justice issues.Volunteers
would help with a variety of communications
and media-related tasks, including writing
Op-ed pieces for submission by board
members, monitoring media regarding
our issues, writing articles
for denominational publications, contacting
publications about publishing articles
about IWJ, ayout publications (under
supervision of Graphic Designer on IWJ
staff), and writing stories
about local group work for Faith Works
newsletter.
Development
Volunteer–Administrative
IWJ
is looking for a volunteer to assist
the Development Department
in various ongoing administrative tasks including data entry maintenance
and calling contacts and leads about IWJ’s new building
search.
Development
Volunteer–Special
Projects
IWJ
is looking for a volunteer to assist the Development
Department in various special projects to
help in the fundraising efforts of a national non-profit organization.Volunteers
would assist in a variety of tasks, including
managing IWJ’s
Community Shares Projects, mailing
Welcome Packets to new people on IWJ’s mailing list,
collecting
achievements from IWJ’s local affiliates
for IWJ’s annual report, and identifying
training needs for local affiliates related
to fundraising.
Public
Policy Volunteer
IWJ
is looking for a volunteer to assist
the Public Policy Department in various tasks
to increase IWJ’s
capacity to do national public policy work. Volunteers
would assist in a variety of tasks, including making calls and
sending
emails to religious leaders and lay activists
in online database system in
targeted congressional districts
to set up federal minimum wage delegations,
data
entry for marking
people by congressional district in online
database system in targeted districts, writing
background material on particular campaigns,
and researching
denominational positions on key issues.
